At 8:59PM PST, January 2, 2007, Elmo became self-aware
We removed all of the screws in the back of Elmo, allowing us to remove the back shell and expose the circuitry.
In the body were two servos and what looked like a stepping motor for the legs along with a couple of gears and wires to the tummy and foot sensors and the main power.
What was interesting was that all of the brains for Elmo were in his head.
The front side of the brain had the main microchip (Skynet?) and the back side had all the connections for the servos, power, speaker, and sensors all nicely labeled, especially the tummy sensor labeled "tummy".
Once we had re-attached Elmo's brain to his head, he came to life. Unfazed by his lack of skin, he requested our clothes, boots, and motorcycle, and resumed his search for Sarah Conner.
